Let’s go back to 1994, to a young and impressionable Derek, at the age of 8, and a small and simple magic kit. This is where it all happened. The epiphany, the lightning bolt, the vision, the inspiration. Unlike most young minds, instead of fluttering from one new exciting thing to the next, Derek found his passion. With 5 years of practice and a lot of dedication, In 1999, at 13 he was accepted into the world famous MAGIC CASTLE in Hollywood, California. A year later he went on to take 1st place in the Orange County Magic Club competition at the Anaheim Convention Center in the year 2000.

Now, nearly 22 years later his small kindled spark of passion has erupted into bursting flames. He pursued what seemed like to others, an impossible dream, and made it a reality. Derek never fails to impress and deliver the greatest magic and mind reading that he can offer; capturing the attention, wonderment and praise from all.
